We Welcome New Members!

King Edward Choir is a long-established group with a reputation for fine performances in a variety of musical styles from the classics and sacred, to folk and contemporary.  Our season includes four concerts and performances at other special events.  We also collaborate with other musical groups from Barrie and the surrounding area.

We extend a warm welcome to new members. If you think you’d like to be a part of this dynamic, talented and friendly group, we’d like to hear from you.

It is preferable for members to have had some choral or other vocal experience, be able to read music, and be willing to commit to our Monday night practices (7:00 pm – 9:30 pm) from September to May. All new choir applicants are auditioned by our Artistic Director/Conductor, Barbara McCann. There is an annual membership fee and an expectation that all members will sell at least four tickets to each concert.

New To Barrie?

If you’re not sure the King Edward Choir is for you, we invite you to drop in at a rehearsal to check us out.   Many of our members are new to Barrie too. So, we’ve got more than just music in common – come and meet us.
