Join the Choir

We welcome new members!

In the King Edward Choir, we enjoy the music that we sing and the camaraderie that we share. We extend a warm welcome to new members. We sing a wide range of material from Gilbert & Sullivan to Canadian folk songs to the classics such as Mozart’s Requiem. We sing a cappella and with accompaniment. Often our Christmas season concerts include Brass or String instrumentalists as well as a Children’s Choir. Our Spring concert often has guest soloists and chamber orchestra. And we are lucky to have the talents of Mr. Jim Leonard as our full time keyboard accompanist.

If you think you’d like to be a part of this dynamic and talented group, we’d like to hear from you.

It is preferable for members to have had some choral or other vocal experience, be able to read music, and be willing to commit to our Monday night practices (7:00 pm – 9:30 pm). Each new choir applicant will need to pass a private audition with our Choral Director, Mrs. Barbara McCann. The Choir also charges a nominal membership fee to help pay for our music and other expenses.
